Egyptian Pyramids
Egypt is one of the most powerful civilisations ever in history. The ancient country which lasted for 30 centuries is a topic that still is interesting to this day. This report will discuss the purpose of pyramids , the overall structure of pyramids and the history of pyramids.
Egyptian pharaohs were a lot like kings and gods to the Egyptian people. Egyptian people were believers of the supernatural and believed in different gods for different purposes. Egyptians believed that when you died you descended into the afterlife and you would take the things that were at your grave to the living world. So when pharaohs died they were buried with the items they possessed in the living world and took it with them in the afterlife. Before they were buried in the sand of the Egyptian desert, now they were buried in the pyramids as a monument to their life. The spirit of the pharaoh would climb the pyramids and then go into the heavens. However these treasures were often raided by robbers who stole the valuables of the pharaohs. To counteract this pharaohs would often build fake chambers or hidden passageways to their pyramids but often their attempts at preserving their valuables would be inadequate as it was still often stolen. The Egyptian pyramid was made of many materials that made it the structure it is today and even with the lesser technology there was back then they still were able to make these grand structures.
For the early Egyptian pyramids which were called Mustabas they were made out of mud and stone. The Mastabas were stacked upon each other to make the pyramid. This idea was developed by the architect Imotep. The famous Sphinxes was 73 meters long and 66 feet high. The structure itself had the head of a man and the body of a lion. Another famous structure which is called The Great Pyramid had 2.3 million blocks of stone. It was 25 - 80 metric tons and was 480 feet or meters high. The Step Pyramid which was another famous pyramid was one of the tallest pyramids for 4 thousand years before getting surpassed by The Great Pyramid. The fact that with the limited technology that the Egyptians had it’s still a worldwide mystery to how the pyramids were made. The rich history that surrounds the pyramids are just as interesting and we’re going to delve more into that now.
Egypt was one of the richest civilisations for thousands of years. The legacy of pyramids that were left behind are one of the greatest mysteries that plague the ancient world. With the pyramids being so old only a few pyramids are left behind such as The Great Pyramid of Giza. It is now a heritage and tourist attraction that attracts many tourists. There are also the remaining 100 pyramids that I stated before however they are very damaged. The pyramids are all different to how they looked before as they aged for thousands of years. Khufu, who was a pharaoh, wanted monuments to his death for his people to remember him. So he built a few tombs for his wife's and made one big pyramid for himself. This was called the Red Pyramid which was the first true pyramid of Egypt. His son who was now the pharaoh since his father had passed away decided to also make a pyramid which later surpassed his own fathers pyramid in size.
Egypt was one of the most interesting countries of the ancient world. It’s many achievements such as the pyramids all are things that attract tourists to its country. Although Egyptian pyramids may not be the same as they were before it’s structure and overall design are interesting to learn about and have still stood the test of time. Pyramids have a very interesting history full of interesting facts and perhaps one day we will solve the mystery of the Egyptian pyramids.

The Roman Colosseum
Ancient Rome is a spectacle that tourists from all around the world visit for its ancient history. It was an arena bound with blood with the corpses of animals and gladiators and criminals that used to litter the arena. In this report we will delve into more facts about the history of the Colosseum , the gladiators themselves and the structure of the Colosseum.
The Colosseum of Rome is the largest amphitheatre in the world. It was originally called Flavian Amphitheatre. The construction started in 72 AD under the direction of emperor Vespassian. It was built by thousands of slaves and when it was complete it could fit up to 50000 people. In this Colosseum the first games held there lasted 100 days. Registering to participate was free and it made the emperor become more popular with the Roman people. It took about 8 years to finish, however Vespassian couldn’t live to see the final product. His son however emperor Titus opened the Colosseum. The history of the Colosseum has a lot of rich history now we shall delve into the fights themselves who competed in the Colosseum called Gladiators.
Gladiators were fighters that participated in the Colosseum. They were fighters that fought to the death for the entertainment of the people. They used knives , swords , shields as well as helmets. The use of these weapons were taught at a professional school called Ludas. If you were successful at being a Gladiator you could grow quite popular with the people and if you were really successful you could earn riches so that you could retire comfortably. However the probability of surviving being a professional gladiator was close to none. Not only did you fight against other people, you fought against animals. Most of the gladiators were slaves as well who were put on rigorous training and on a healthy diet to fight for the entertainment of the people. The gladiators were hard warriors that fought for a shallow reason. Now we’re going to delve into more facts about the overall structure of the Colosseum.
The Colosseum was made of 3 different materials. Brick , stone and concrete. The Colosseum was 620 feet or 189 meters long and stood 158 feet tall. It was as tall as a twelve story building. There was also something hidden under the Colosseum called the Hypogeum. The hypogeum was a maze of underground tunnels with elevators that had trap doors so gladiators could appear out of nowhere as well as animals. The Colosseum at its prime was an arena built for fighting however over the years the structure has been wiliting away. The Colosseum was damaged by fires and earthquakes and in the 6th century was no longer used for fighting. In 1349 there was a major earthquake that comprised the outer wall. The wall was used for later structures built and the Colosseum just was in ruin for the last years. The restoration started in the 1800s and is still being restored today.
In conclusion the Roman Colosseum had an interesting ancient history bound by the noises of the Gladiators fighting for their lives with the structure making the fights ever more interesting. It is now a tourist attraction and as it’s still being restored and as the tourists stand in the Colosseum they shall remember the many gladiators who split their blood in the massive amphitheatre.

Deku's Insanity
Deku went home after his best friend turned bully gave him a beating after school. He watched as his bully who did terrible things and who was an arrogant bully rose to success while he was left in the dust. He wanted a superpower or quirk so that he could be a hero it was his life's obsession. However sadly he turned a different path one that was villainous. I predict that in the next chapter Deku will slowly turn into a villain but I don't think he could ever do it fully however I think he'll be somewhat of a anti hero.
