 Term 2: What We're Learning About This Term

Today is the first day of term 2 and we're all back from our fun 2 week break and back for 11 weeks of learning.  I'll be explaining what each of Point England's teams are learning about.

Team 1

Team 1 is learning about the sun and where it comes from. When the sun sets and when the sun rises where does it go to. There are many myths of where the sun goes but where does the sun actually go? These are the questions team 1 is going to answer and learn about.

Team 2

Team 2 is a little more advanced and their going to learn about the sun, moon and earth. The sun , moon and earth connect with each other and work in harmony. The sun shines on the moon giving it's light and the sun gives the earth it's light as well. Team 2 will be learning about these 3 interesting things of the solar system and learn how important these 3 things are.

Team 3

Team 3 is going to learn about the moon. From the legend of Rona and the moon team 3 will learn about the thing Rona is connected to which is the moon. They will learn interesting things about the thing that orbits the earth and will come out more knowledgeable about the subject.

Team 4

Team 4 is learning about the earth. In the immersion assembly they did a parody of guardians of the galaxy and will come up with raps and make music about the earth. They will be learning about how to take care of the earth as well as learning about the solar system.

Team 5

Team 5 is going to learn about the solar system as a whole. We're all going to learn about all the planets and the interesting facts about them. This will give us all a better understanding of each of the planets and how the universe came into existence.

This term is going to be a blast of learning and I can't wait to learn about the solar system.
